Some weddings stay with you long after the last frame is captured — Katy and William’s luxury Aspen Snowmass wedding is one of those celebrations. Set across a multi-day weekend in Colorado’s Roaring Fork Valley, their wedding blended timeless Catholic tradition with modern mountain luxury, hosted between Viceroy Snowmass, St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Aspen, and the exclusive Snowmass Club.

A Luxury Aspen Snowmass Wedding Weekend

The trend in luxury Aspen weddings has shifted toward full multi-day celebrations, and Katy and William’s weekend was a beautiful example of why. Rather than condensing everything into a single day, their guests had time to truly settle into Snowmass Village — gathering, celebrating, and soaking in the alpine beauty across two days. Day One brought guests together for a welcome party at Viceroy Snowmass. Day Two unfolded as the main event, beginning with a Catholic ceremony at historic St. Mary’s in Aspen and continuing with the reception celebration at the Snowmass Club.

Welcome Party at Viceroy Snowmass

The welcome party set the tone for the entire weekend. With mountain views as a backdrop and a relaxed-yet-intentional atmosphere, Katy and William’s out-of-town guests had the chance to meet, mingle, and acclimate to the Roaring Fork Valley before the main wedding day. There’s something special about the energy of a welcome gathering — it’s softer than the wedding itself, but holds its own kind of anticipation. Everyone arrives a little curious, a little excited, and by the end of the night, the weekend feels like it’s already begun.

The Wedding Day at Snowmass Club

Day Two unfolded with a quiet, unhurried rhythm — the kind of day that lets you actually feel each moment as it happens. From getting-ready laughter in the bridal suite to the final reception dance, every part of Katy and William’s wedding had room to breathe.

Ceremony at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Aspen

Katy and William were married at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, a historic parish in the heart of downtown Aspen. Located at 533 E Main Street and recognized as one of the tallest buildings on Aspen’s Main Street, St. Mary’s has stood as a spiritual home for the community since 1882 — making it one of Aspen’s oldest and most cherished landmarks.

Katy and William’s ceremony was rooted in tradition and family, the kind of liturgy where every word and gesture carries generations of meaning. Photographing a Catholic wedding ceremony is a unique honor — it asks you to move quietly, to anticipate, to capture sacred moments without ever interrupting them.

Couple Portraits in the Roaring Fork Valley

One of my favorite parts of photographing weddings in the Aspen Snowmass area is the natural light and landscape just steps from each venue. Katy and William’s portraits captured the soft mountain light, the texture of the high-country grasses, and the quiet emotion between two people who have clearly built something real together.

Reception Celebration at the Snowmass Club

The reception flowed seamlessly from cocktail hour to dinner to dancing, with the kind of ease that only comes when a venue and team are working in true harmony. Guests moved freely between the dance floor and the patio, between heartfelt toasts and laughter that echoed long into the evening.

For couples planning a luxury Snowmass wedding, this kind of celebration is what’s possible — refined, joyful, and deeply personal.
